Which Type of Bride Will Most Appreciate a Yellow Diamond Engagement Ring?

One of the most noticeable trends to emerge from the expansion of the engagement jewellery market in recent years has been the rising popularity of coloured rings. Harking back to a time before clear diamonds had a monopoly on the industry, this popularity helped to give stones like the sapphire, the ruby, the emerald and indeed, the different coloured variants of diamonds, a second wind.
As a consequence, brides and grooms began to use these differently-coloured options to reflect their own personalities, imbuing the traditional act of presenting an engagement ring with a dose of uniqueness and personality.

Even in this new era, however, certain things did not change. The diamond, for example, remained the most popular stone overall, with prohibitively-priced 'fancy' variants drawing particular interest from brides. As such, many significant others chose to compromise and purchase a yellow diamond engagement ring, perhaps the only 'fancy' diamond variant to be affordable to middle-class pockets.
However, while it can make most brides happy, a yellow diamond engagement ring is not suited for all personality types.
Shiny Happy People
In the personality colour chart, yellow symbolises happiness and a positive outlook on life. People whose favourite colour is yellow tend to be proactive, fun and creative. However, they also have a perfectionist streak and can often be impulsive or, on the contrary, to overanalyse situations.
As such, a yellow diamond engagement ring will probably be best suited to a bride or groom who displays one or more of these characteristics. Creative people, for instance, are more likely to appreciate the less immediate and more subtly colourful beauty of the yellow ring, while those who choose to smile their troubles away will also enjoy the luminous and 'open' look of this type of stone. Furthermore, lovers of yellow tend to be stylish dressers, so someone who takes care of himself or herself and is proud of their appearance is also most likely to derive pleasure from one of these rings.
As with everything else, however, there are no 'foolproof' theories or methods for ascertaining who will or will not like a yellow diamond engagement ring. Tastes vary from person to person, and it is quite possible that an individual who does not match the personality described above will still be delighted with a jewel in these hues. However, brides or grooms 'on the fence' about which type of ring to get their significant other may appreciate knowing whether or not a yellow bauble will be appropriate in their specific case.
